It’s so touching ❤️😣but sad to see how many people have lost loved ones to depression and suicide/mental illness, it’s a hole in your heart that can never be replaced, grief comes in waves 🌊 some days it’s better other days it’s a struggle.  (Ps. I know this will be a long post but if it can help someone then it’s worth reading) Even though I have not lost a loved one close to me yet, I know what it’s like to battle anxiety, depression, self harm, suicidalness / suicide attempts especially in the past. So I hope this post serves as some insight and help. And even though I’m much much better now and have seeked lots of help such as avid counselling, meditation, watching Ted talks, learning calming/ grounding techniques, reading mental health or psychology books etc🧘‍♀️ and doing things to help me overcome a lot of struggles, panic attacks, anxiety attacks and low self esteem. Hello :) recently, I've been a little down on myself and I know we can all get like this, we can easily have those off days where everything is going wrong. Or we are simply being too tough on ourselves. As for myself lately I've been comparing myself to others or in general feel pressured by social norms or expectations, i.e by 20 you should be in college/finishing a i.e 4 year degree, bachelors or starting your career, or maybe you started late into university but there's nothing wrong with that sometimes it gives you a maturity advantage, after all why are we told to pick our career at 17 or 18 when if we got tattoed for example at 17 or 18, it's something that similarly stays with you for life and is a big choice and commitment, yet if we are told don't get a tattoo until you are in your 20's or 25 and older or you will regret it, then why are we told to make one of the biggest decisions in our life when we are still learning and experiencing more of this w...

  Anxiety can be a complicated thing to understand if you have never quite experienced it, this post will explain a little about what anxiety means to me, it might be a bit dark but I've been a bit down and felt like writing and expressing this. Anxiety is unique and at times hard to empathize with or fully understand if you have never had a severe anxious period in your life, though we all do in different forms, such as public speaking, job interviews, uncertain life events, and problems. The only difference with people with diagnosed anxiety disorders is that it can be constant, daily, for months, years or their whole life. And how severely it can interfere with their entire life, school, work, money, friends, family, life quality, health and so on. People with severe anxiety can feel as if they are drowning as if the whole world continues on without them while they stop.
